This is not how I planned my life in that class you take in high school that makes you list where you will be in 10 or 20 years. Got married to young (20)... wasted my youth on a no-good cheater. Divorced. Met Mr. D in 1996 and we fell in love... (REAL love this time.) We married in 2001. I was already behind in my plan because while I did earn a BFA in Theatre Performance and became and actress and teacher... I was not (A) a movie star (B) a millionaire or (C)the perfect mother to 2.5 children... Mr. D and I recently built our first home and I teach acting, directing, and technical theatre in a high school. I love my hubby, my job, and the life we have made together. Two years ago Mr. D and I started the "it is time to have a baby" negotiations. I never thought that waiting until I was 30 would be a problem. After 2 m/c and tons of fertility tests...I am beginning to panic...

That is so beautiful. Since I'm a huge breastfeeding advocate, but have had no experience with adoptive mom's providing milk or breastfeeding their babies - I am just wondering - are you nursing Finn at the breast? If so, how is it going? If you are just pumping are you able to make enough? Sorry for the questions - I think it's fascinating though and a wonderful thing that you are doing for your new babe! Congrats again to your wonderful family!

Congratulations! Been following your blog quietly for years now, and I am SO happy that Finn is finally here. Enjoy this time, as scary and overwhelming as it is. My baby is 3 1/2 now, and sometimes I wish I could cuddle him smaller. So happy for you and Mr. D.
