This is not how I planned my life in that class you take in high school that makes you list where you will be in 10 or 20 years. Got married to young (20)... wasted my youth on a no-good cheater. Divorced. Met Mr. D in 1996 and we fell in love... (REAL love this time.) We married in 2001. I was already behind in my plan because while I did earn a BFA in Theatre Performance and became and actress and teacher... I was not (A) a movie star (B) a millionaire or (C)the perfect mother to 2.5 children... Mr. D and I recently built our first home and I teach acting, directing, and technical theatre in a high school. I love my hubby, my job, and the life we have made together. Two years ago Mr. D and I started the "it is time to have a baby" negotiations. I never thought that waiting until I was 30 would be a problem. After 2 m/c and tons of fertility tests...I am beginning to panic...

I just wanted to say massive congratulations and a massive thank you. I have just stumbled upon and read your entire blogs this afternoon in one sitting,(with many cups of tea and wee breaks) from the very start in 2004 to a now fantastic new begining! I was looking for a blog I could relate to with a woman and women that talked honestly about infertility and adoption.I too am at a point where me and my lovely husband are thinking about adoption and after having read your blog it has really made me feel it is something I need and want to do. I also completely relate to the theatre world, I have left a career as an actress for very similar reasons, I now facilitate and run theatre projects and have struggled over the years and then accepted and now enjoy the change in my career. I had planned since the age of 4 that I would be an actress and run my own company starting when I used to produce plays in my back garden and charge people 10 pence (about a dime) to watch us in our imaginary worlds. As a late 30- (cough splutter)something I am realsing the plans I mapped out for myself have changed with many twists and turns and I am greatful for the hard times as well as the good as I have lived and learnt so much and don't have too many regrets. Your blog has been funny, sad, poignant, thought provoking, refreshing, inspiring and most importantly honest. Good luck on your familys new journey. Cheers Jules A British fan x
