CD 6...

Have been very busy over this spring break... trying to get my students ready for their competition next week.

Just wanted to let those who care know that AF showed up last Saturday... so BFN again... surprise.

I didn't go back to the doctor... I didn't start any meds... I did get a massage.

My b/f Nic had her 2nd baby last Friday... Gianna Maria... 10 pounds 1 ounce!!!! No c-section! Wow! I went and saw them on Saturday... AF showed up on the way to the hospital... Ironic. We had a nice visit... Mom and baby are now home and doing great.

I don't really have a lot to say. I am fine. A little overwhelmed with having to work all of spring break... a little sad about my state of non-pregnancy... a little confused on what my next step should be.

Hope you are all doing well.
I will be out of my funk soon...

I am VERY familiar with the funk that you are in. Thought I had some good signs this month - weird cramping, temperature higher than normal - but must have been endometriosis flaring up and a flu bug. Today is CD 1 for me....

I found your blog a few months ago and have been reading it ever since. I'm so sad for you about your BFN.

I have PCOS (not bad) and have been going for infertility treatments for the past SEVERAL months. I do have a 3 year old, but got pregnant with him on 50mg of Clomid. I was also 4 years younger!

Well, after MONTHS of clomid (up to 200 mg), Met., an HSG, etc., I decided to try Fertilaid. I had told my friend about it last summer and she got pg. the first month of taking it after a m/c. (She does not have PCOS.) SO, I decided to try it and, lo and behold, it worked on me the very first month too. (I did continue with Met. 1500 mg.)

If you haven't tried it, maybe it's worth a shot. I am in my 30's too and was really losing hope.

I wish you the best of luck and really hope you get a BFP soon!!

I can only speak from personal experience about beating the funk. Losing 4 babies in 2 years doesn't help but the best way (for me) to get out of a funk is to stand up, take a deep breath and move on. Be proactive in your quest to have a baby Jamie...you never know if you don't keep trying.

Hugs and talk to you soon.

Ally

I'm sorry Jamie. How evil of 'her' to show up on your way to the hospital. Maybe a little retail therapy will help to pull you out of your funk. I hope you get that spring back in your step soon!

Mrs. D, I've missed you! We're living parallel lives with wonderful husbands, m/c's and watching our friends get pregnant. I've heard everything you've heard an more. What helps? Stay true to your feelings - if you're sad, be sad. If you want to take a break, do. Try when you feel ready. I'm not pregnant either, but at least I don't wanto to feel pressured to be anything but myself. My friends insist I have no time to lose (I'm 40, look younger), I should do IVF with every option available - PGD, etc, but right now, I will just continue playing with my friend's beautiful 4 month old - and try to make peace with AF.

This is my first time here...funny that you've got another commenter named Chas...anyway, I was reading your "Top 10 things that have not helped us in having a baby"...and I must say that I totally relate to most of them..expecially #5. I made a vow to never EVER ask anyone "When are you going to have a baby?". That question ruined many a day for me over the years we were TTC. And now I'm starting to get "When are you going to have another one?" b/c most people have no idea what we went through. Ugg.

So sorry you had to work over Spring Break. I'm a teacher, and I tried my best not to even think about those kids this week.
