Confused...again...

Can you look at my chart???

please...

I f-ed it up at the beginning of the month by no temping regularly... but... do you think I could have "o"ed around cd13?

I didn't start using OPK's until cd13 and so far the BEST I got was a very faint second line (I know.. that is not a positive) I am just wondering if maybe I missed the surge (IF I have a surge) all together... I just ask because my temp keep going up... I will keep using the OPK until cd 21 ( Wednesday) that is when I have a progesterone blood draw.

I am so confused....
Totally-freakin-typical...

You may want to start the opk's right after af stops. I know a lot of people do that to make sure they get the surge.

Jaime,

Has the second line on your OPK disappeared? If there was a hint of a second line on the first day you tested and then it has completely gone away, there is a possibility that you O'ed earlier in your cycle. But since I have looked at your temp chart for a while now, it seems like you ovulate later in your cycle. Maybe it is coming . . .

It's really difficult to say with all of the open circles and missed temps. Just keep temping and POAS, hopefully you'll get something more definitive. Sorry it's so damn confusing.

clomid doesn't always make people o earlier... my friend was on it for 6 months and at the end, her o day was like day 21 on 200 mg ...(she's now preggo, of course)...but it should improve the quality - so maybe it's yet to come... when i take it, day 17 - 19 is usual for me.

When I was on Clomid, I ovulated on day 18. The dr. said I would O later than normal. This month and no clomid, I'm ovulating on day 14.

I would say a line is a line and to go with that. I hate OPK's for this reason...too much damn
speculation.

Jamie Elise,
It's very hard to tell as your temps are all over the place. It would help a lot if you checked other signs - the cervical mucus one is very helpful for me. If I was you I'd keep using the OPKs as others have suggested. If you've got a line that's just staying there or gradually getting stronger, you haven't O'ed yet. If it's come and gone, then you possibly missed it. Not sure what effect clomid has on the surge, though.

Jamie - it is possible that the sticks just don't work for you - I couldn't use the regular sticks myself - I got surges - but all over the place - so I could not rely on them!
I am now on my 2nd month of using the fertility monitor - so we shall see.
It is also hard to go by your chart because of the missed temps - it does look like you may have o'd on cd 13 - but that would give you what? a 27-30 day cycle - is that normal for you???
Hopefully your doc will have some more insight. Hey Jaime - why isn't the doctor doing sonograms with the Clomid? If you don't conceive this month do you think she will start sono's next month? You may want to ask her why she isn't monitoring the ovaries.
Well, I hope the point is moo (yes - I know I spelled that wrong - Friends reference) hopefully all the dancing you have been doing waiting for the surge pays off!
Talk to you soon.

I am wondering at what point when using opk, one can stop testing and safely assume ovulation is over. Should we continue ttc for a couple of days beyond the positive? Once the test is negative? Also, if you do manage to concieve, perhaps on positive day one, would the opk read negative after that? I ask because last month I had three days of positive opk's and this month, just one day.
